Are You the Ghosting Type? Here’s What to Do

Af Lovlas blog team

Let’s be completely honest here: Ghosting sucks. Everyone knows it because nobody would want it to happen to themselves. Now, it’s either because of a lack of respect, a minor short circuit in the frontal lobe, or you’re simply afraid of conflict. To avoid future broken hearts and bad vibes, we want to break up with ghosting. So here’s what you can say instead:

  • “It was exciting getting to know you but I don’t feel a connection. Thank you for the talks.”
  • “I have a lot going on in my life, I thought this was it but I can’t prioritise a relationship at this point.”
  • “I like talking to you but this isn’t working for me anymore. I hope you can understand.”
  • “I feel like our personalities aren’t matching, so let's stop the fun before someone could get hurt.”
  • “I don't feel like continuing the contact because _____. I hope you understand.”
  • “You’re easy to talk to so I’m sure there are plenty of people who could fall for you. I just don’t feel it.”

When it comes down to it, just be honest. Sometimes things just don’t work out and that’s okay. There’s no need to waste neither your nor other people's time. We’re all here for the same reason, to find love so let’s make it a lovely experience.
